Joining and Renewal Benefits

The card comes with an annual fee of ₹1,500 + GST. To offset the joining and the renewal fee, the card offers users the following perks:

• Welcome Benefit: Get a voucher of 2,500 IndiGo BluChips (will be valid for 6 months from the date of issuance).
• Renewal Benefit: Receive a voucher worth 2,500 IndiGo BluChips upon payment of the annual fee each year (will be valid for 6 months from the date of issuance).

Milestone Benefits

To reward high-spending users, the card offers milestone benefits, allowing them to earn vouchers of up to 7,500 IndiGo BluChips each year. Here is how:

• Earn a voucher worth 2,500 IndiGo BluChips on spending ₹1,25,000 within the anniversary year
• Get another voucher worth 2,500 IndiGo BluChips on spending ₹2,50,000 within the anniversary year
• Receive your 3rd voucher worth 2,500 IndiGo BluChips on spending ₹6,00,000 within the anniversary year

Earning and Redeeming Rewards

The IndiGo Kotak Credit Card enables users to earn accelerated rewards for select merchant categories, with 1 IndiGo BluChip as its base rate. Additionally, for UPI spends, users holding the RuPay variant are eligible for rewards. Refer to the table below for a detailed breakdown.

The excluded categories for reward earning include the following:

The IndiGo BluChips are valid for 24 months, but if a user engages in any activity, including earning or redeeming BluChips, within that period, the expiration date will be extended by another 24 months, effectively making the BluChips valid for life.

The rewards earned with this card, which is essentially Air Miles for IndiGo, BluChips, can be redeemed for flights and select IndiGo services, including seat selection and baggage add-ons.

The value of each BluChip varies, ranging from ₹0.40 to ₹0.60.

IndiGo Kotak Credit Card as a Travel Card – Review

While the IndiGo Kotak Credit Card may be practical for IndiGo loyalists through reward points (BluChips), its travel benefits feel incomplete. The absence of airport lounge access, both domestic and international, is a key downside, especially for a card marketed to travelers. However, milestone benefits make up for it to some extent, offering up to 7,500 BluChips annually upon reaching specific spend thresholds, specifically ₹6 lakh annually. However, compared to travel cards, such as the Axis Atlas with lounge perks and an excellent transfer rate of 1:2 for most airlines, this one feels more like an entry-level card designed for users of the IndiGo ecosystem.
